We have a depth of experience designing finely crafted custom residential structures tailored to fit each unique client and situation. Considered selection of organizational patterns, building systems, and materials means our work is grounded in the practical yet strives to achieve a result that is greater than the sum of the parts.

We are also drawn to the preservation of existing building fabric and the challenges of adapting and repurposing existing structures - even historic ones from the 18th and 19th centuries - and transforming them to 21st century standards of performance (where practicable). We find the relationship to time and place is enriched by our connections to the past and as such we regard existing structures as a potentially valuable resource to factor into the design process.
