Historic Mixed-Use Adaption

Portland, ME

Located in  historic downtown Portland, Maine, this adaptive re-use project was  originally built for use as a home, shop and livery stables.  The original brick building was one of the only surviving structures from Portland's Great Fire of 1866, and originally house a working three story 'carriage' elevator. Our work included creating a 'Mixed-use'  addition that included newly constructed (and renovated) residential, office and retail spaces suitable for multiple tenant occupancies.
